Online appointment booking system for applications at the Legal and Consular Section

Welcome to the online appointment booking system!

With the new service, we are able to ensure a regular and orderly public traffic. For you this gives the advantage of being able to book an appointment that suits you, and you have a fixed date in the embassy without long waiting times.

All applicants NEED to schedule an appointment in order to hand in their applications. Applications for the category “passports and ID-Cards” can also be accepted without an appointment in urgent cases, for example lost passport. Please note, that waiting time can be long.

In order to pick up your documents you don’t need an appointment. Please note the pick up times of the consular section.

Please note our new categories:

Marriage or birth

  • Registration of a birth in Germany
  • Registration of a marriage in Germany
  • Application for a “Declaration of Eligibility for Marriage”

Passports and ID-Cards

  • Application for a German passport / identity card
  • Change of residency in German passport

Visa

  • Applying for a visa for Germany

Certifications / Authentications

  • Certification of photocopies
  • Authentication of translation
  • Authentication of signature
  • Confirmation for driving licence

Please book a separate appointment for each applicant and each application. For example, if you want to apply with your family, you have to book separate appointment for each family member (3 children = 3 appointments).

Please bring all required documents to your appointment. Please refer to the respective visa, passport, etc. pages on our website for information on which documents must be submitted. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted: the application will be rejected free of charge and a new date has to be agreed.

The appointment system does not support mobile devices. Please use a PC to make an appointment, as the page may not be displayed correctly on mobile phones and other devices.

After your entry in the system, you will receive an automatic confirmation of your appointment by e-mail. Please print this e-mail and bring it to your appointment. Without this printout, the appointment cannot be perceived. You must present the e-mail already on the ground floor at the Visitor Desk.

Please cancel the appointment immediately to allow others to book an appointment. A cancellation on the same day of the appointment is not possible. Please be advised that it will be difficult to book further appointments if you do not show for an appointment without cancelling it.

The e-mail-adresses @hanmail.net and @daum.net seem to have some difficulties to receive the confirmation e-mails. You may want to use a different e-mail-address.

If you would like to collect your visa, you do NOT need an appointment.
